A native of Germany, he earned his national certification as a professional farmer there before moving to the United States in 1983. Harald founded and directed Raphael Garden at Rudolf Steiner College in Sacramento, CA from 1987 to 2017. This three acre biodynamic urban farm became a model education center on the West Coast, run according to the highest biodynamic standards, being Demeter certified.
