This year the Faust Branch will celebrate Michaelmas on Wednesday evening, September 30.
As preparation, we will consider one verse of The Michael Imagination each week of the 4 weeks leading up to Michaelmas (like an Advent to this festival),
Alice Stamm will facilitate the evening on September 30 out of offerings from the community. Perhaps courage will play into our work together, as well as the redemption of evil in our time.
To prepare, each week read one verse and consider Alice’s questions.
The first week, Sept 9
Springing from Powers of the Sun,
Radiant Spirit-powers, blessing all Worlds!
For Michael’s garment of rays
You are predestined by Thought Divine.
Consider this first verse of the Michael Imagination.
Notice a moment of empathy towards something, a person, an event – some need in the world.
Second week, Sept 16
He, the Christ-messenger, reveals in you—
Bearing mankind aloft—the sacred Will of Worlds.
You, the radiant Beings of Ether-worlds
Hear the Christ-word to man.
Contemplate this second verse of the Imagination. From your consideration last week, take note of your empathy or need. Now intuit an idea of what might help or address such a need or moment.
Third week, Sept 23
Thus shall the Herald of Christ appear
To the thirstily waiting souls,
In cosmic age of Spirit-Human.
Contemplate this third verse of the Imagination. Now consider not only the moral imagination of addressing the need, but the moral technique (everything necessary to complete a deed). What must be considered – Courage? Love? What else?
Fourth week, Sept 30
You, the disciples of Spirit-knowledge
Take Michael-s Wisdom-beckoning,
Take the Word of Love of the Will of Worlds
Into your souls’ aspiring, actively!
Contemplate the fourth verse and then all 4 verses of the Imagination.Consider now, along with the imagination needed to meet a situation and the technique involved; Who else could be involved, How would this be a community building activity.
